Rat Bite Car Insurance: If a rat bites the wiring of the car, will you get an insurance claim?

Rat Bite Wire Cut: Many times we hear and see that rats have nibbled the wiring of the car due to which the car driver has to suffer a lot. People get the car repaired themselves, thinking that the car insurance company will not pay for the repair. But this is not true, this loss is also covered in the car insurance policy.

Everyone is troubled by rats. They chew everything from clothes in the house to the wiring of the car. Sometimes, due to chewing of the wiring of the car, even the sensors get damaged and do not work properly. After the wiring is cut, the only question that comes to mind is whether this loss caused by rats will be compensated?

Will the Car Insurance company pass the claim to repair the vehicle or will we have to spend money from our pocket to get the vehicle repaired? Many questions arise in the minds of people because many people do not know about many things related to Car Insurance. Due to lack of correct information, there is a lot of confusion while making an insurance claim and many questions arise in the mind.

Car Insurance Claim: Will you get the claim?

While talking to Santosh Sahani, Motor Head of Kataria Insurance, he told that the damage caused to the vehicle due to Rat Bite will be covered. The company will compensate for this loss but there is a catch behind it which needs to be understood.

If you have a Comprehensive Policy for your vehicle and you think that this loss will be covered in this policy, then your thinking is wrong. In Comprehensive Insurance Policy, no insurance company covers the loss caused by rats gnawing wiring. Santosh Sahani told that the insurance claim will be approved only when the car driver has a Zero Depreciation Policy.

This means that if you have only Comprehensive Insurance Policy but not Zero Depreciation Policy, then you will not get money. But if you have Zero Depreciation Policy along with Comprehensive Insurance Policy, then the company will compensate for this loss. The thing to note is that the car driver will have to pay the file charge himself, this money is not given by the insurance company.
