Railway Big News: Durg-Gorakhpur train reached Pratapgarh instead of Varanasi, passenger suffering due to route divert

Re-modelling work is going on on the railway track near Varanasi station. Due to which the trains passing through this route were diverted. In the same order, the route of train number 18201 Durg Nautanwa Express going from Durg to Nautanwa was also diverted from Prayagraj.

On the occasion of Holi, due to increase in the number of passengers in the trains, people are facing difficulties in the journey. On the other hand, due to the re-modelling and non-interlocking work on the railway track, people are also facing a lot of trouble due to the diversion of trains.

A similar case has come to light from Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, when train number 18201 Durg Nautanwa Express going from Durg to Nautanwa via Mirzapur Chunar Varanasi Gorakhpur diverted from Chhivki station of Prayagraj to Vindhyachal, Mirzapur, Chunar instead of Pratapgarh. She started going while it happened.

When the train reached Pratapgarh, the passengers created a ruckus and stopped the train at Pratapgarh station for 1 hour. Passengers alleged that they had to go towards Varanasi via Mirzapur Chunar but the route was diverted and the train was run via Pratapgarh.

Due to which the passengers going to Vindhyachal, Mirzapur and Chunar faced a lot of trouble. On the other hand, after a lot of persuasion by the railway officials, the ruckus of the passengers ended and then the train was taken forward.

According to the information, the work of re-modelling is going on on the railway track near Varanasi station. Due to which the trains passing through this route were diverted. In the same order, the route of train number 18201 Durg Nautanwa Express going from Durg to Nautanwa was also diverted from Prayagraj.

Let us inform that the proper route of this train is Gorakhpur Nautanwa via Prayagraj’s Chhivki to Mirzapur Chunar Varanasi. While the route was diverted, this train was diverted towards Pratapgarh instead of Mirzapur Chunar. Because of which the passengers had to face trouble. However, the Railways says that the information about diverting the route was given through an announcement in Prayagraj itself.

On the other hand, in this context, Pratapgarh Station Superintendent Shamim Ahmed told that on Saturday, 18201 Durg Nautanwa Express reached Pratapgarh at 3:30 pm after being diverted.

About two dozen angry passengers reached the Station Superintendent’s office after the route was diverted and expressed their displeasure. During this, the passengers stopped the train at Pratapgarh for about 1 hour. He told that after a lot of persuasion, the passengers agreed. After this the train was sent ahead.
