Medical Insurance Big Update: The government has approved the implementation of this much-awaited ‘cashless’ medical assistance from July 1 through Oriental Insurance Company Limited.
Government employees, pensioners and their dependents in Kerala are now going to get comprehensive medical insurance under the government’s new scheme ‘Medicep’ at a monthly premium of just Rs 500. The Pinarayi Vijayan government has approved the implementation of this much-awaited ‘cashless’ medical assistance through Oriental Insurance Company Limited from July 1.
Who will get the benefit of the scheme
according to the order issued by the Under Chief Secretary (Finance) Rajesh Kumar Singh, government employees, pensioners/family pensioners and eligible members of their families, government universities employees and pensioners, Chief Minister, Leader of the Opposition, Chief Directly appointed personal staff of Whip, Speaker and Deputy Speaker etc. can also take advantage of this scheme.

Monthly premium will be Rs 500

Health insurance is done by the government
we also know the Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Yojana by the name of Arogya Yojana. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ayush Bharat Yojana, more than 10 crore families have been covered under this insurance. Under this scheme, health insurance amount up to ₹ 5 lakh has been provided to poor families.
Ayushman Yojana was launched in the year 2018 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay.
