Mau: Postmaster Satish Sharma said that without life insurance, people can avail the benefit of Rs 15 lakh for Rs 749. This insurance has to be renewed every year. It includes benefits in case of accident, permanent disability and hospitalization.
Satish Sharma, Post Master of Muhammadabad Gohana Post Office of Mau district, has told that if you have not taken any kind of life insurance and you have an account in the post office, then you can get a benefit of up to Rs 15 lakh by taking insurance for just Rs 749. You will have to renew this insurance every year, in which you will get a benefit of up to Rs 15 lakh. Satish Sharma told Local 18 that in this, the insurance holder will have to pay the prescribed policy premium every year through Indian Post Payment Bank.
Accident insurance of Rs 5 lakhs
In group accident insurance, accident insurance of Rs 5 lakhs will be available in an annual single premium of Rs 320. Accident insurance of Rs 10 lakhs will be available for Rs 549 and accident insurance of Rs 15 lakhs will be available for Rs 749. It was further told that any person can avail the benefit of this special scheme by visiting the post office on any working day through Aadhar card and PAN card.
Rs 15 lakh to the nominee
The Rs 749 insurance plan includes Rs 15 lakh to the nominee in case of death of the insured due to any accident, snake bite, electric shock, falling on the floor or car accident, Rs 15 lakh on permanent disability, Rs 1 lakh under child education benefit for maximum two children of the insured in case of accidental death, Rs 1,000 per day on hospitalization, annual limit of 30 days, Rs 60,000 for IPD, Rs 30,000 for OPD which includes pharmacy, diagnostic and 10 physical consultations in a year.

Limit of Rs. 1500 per consultation, Rs. 1 lakh in case of bone fracture in an accident, coma and Rs. 25,000 as immediate sympathy meeting money in case of death and Rs. 5,000 for last rites. It was told that the insurance cover will start from the first day of insurance. Therefore, if you have not got insurance, then go to your nearest post office today and get insurance, so that you can avail the benefits of this scheme run by the government.
