 LIC branch will remain open on Saturday and Sunday also. Know the reason behind this.
Life Insurance Corporation: The offices of Life Insurance Corporation of India, the country’s largest and oldest insurance company, will also remain open on 30th and 31st March i.e. Saturday and Sunday. Actually, LIC has taken the decision to keep the office open on Saturday and Sunday also keeping in view March 31. 31st March is the last day of the current financial year.
In such a situation, so that the customers do not face any problem in completing any work related to this financial year on the last day, many insurance companies including LIC have decided to open offices even on weekends.
All LIC offices will remain open on Saturday-Sunday
In view of the convenience of policyholders, Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) had advised all insurance companies to keep their offices open on 30th and 31st March i.e. Saturday and Sunday.
After this, LIC has given information about opening of offices on Saturday and Sunday. All branches of LIC will work on Saturday and Sunday like normal days. In such a situation, if you have to complete any important work related to LIC, then you can complete it even on weekends.
There will be work in banks also
Earlier, in view of the financial year ending on March 31, the Reserve Bank had ordered all the banks to remain open on March 31. RBI had ordered all agency banks to remain open on 31st March i.e. Sunday.
A total of 33 banks including 12 government banks are included in the agency banks. It has all the major banks including SBI, PNB, Bank of Baroda, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank.
Income Tax Department office will also remain open
Being the last day of the financial year 2023-24, like banks and LIC offices, the offices of the Income Tax Department will also remain open on 30 and 31 March. In such a situation, taxpayers can complete any work related to the current financial year on Saturday and Sunday.
