LIC Investment in Adani: LIC’s money is drowning, know how big Adani got

LIC Investment in Adani: LIC’s investment in Adani Group has now gone to negative. Earlier, LIC’s investment was in profit in Adani’s shares. With the closure of the market on Thursday, the LIC Investment Value in Adani’s shares declined to Rs 27,000 crore.

New Delhi: The Shares of Adani Group are selling in such a way that animals run away when forest fire broke out. And it is a fire that is not taking the name of being reduced. Most of Adani’s stocks are also looking heavy selling in most of the last trading day of the week.

Due to this, the country’s largest insurance company LIC is suffering heavy losses. LIC has invested a lot of money in the shares of Adani Group. Adani’s shares have been falling in touch since Hindenburg Report. In such a situation, the profit of LIC’s investment in Adani continued to fly slowly and now this investment has become negative. That is, LIC is now in losses in Adani’s shares.

LIC in loss in Adani shares

After the market closure on Thursday, the LIC Investment Value in Adani’s shares declined to Rs 27,000 crore. This figure has come out on data analysis from LIC’s December shareholding pattern available on exchanges.

Following Hindonburg report, on January 30, LIC reported that the investment value in the Shares of Adani Group under equity and date was Rs 35,917 crore by the end of December. He had said that the total purchase value of shares in Adani group companies was Rs 30,127 crore. At the same time, the market value of this investment was Rs 56,142 crore on 27 January.

Adani Group lost $ 146 billion

US short seller Hindenberg released a report on the Adani Group on 24 January. In this, the shares of Adani Group were described as 85 per cent overvilude. The group was also accused of manipulation of shares.

Since the report, the market value of 10 listed companies of Adani has fallen by $ 146 billion or about 60 per cent. LIC’s investment in the group has become negative since Thursday’s fall in Adani shares. That is, LIC now has a loss in Adani shares. This assessment has been assumed that LIC has not bought and sold Shares of Adani since January 30.
