LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana: PM Narendra Modi is going to give a special gift to women today. On Monday, PM Modi will launch LIC’s Bima Sakhi Yojana in Panipat, Haryana at 2 pm and PM will distribute appointment letters to future Bima Sakhis. For this, a big pandal has been set up at Dussehra Ground in Sector 13-17. LIC’s Bima Sakhi Yojana has been designed with the aim of making 10th pass women from 18 to 70 years of age self-reliant and empowered. Know about this scheme.
What is LIC’s Bima Sakhi Yojana?
Under this scheme, 10th pass women will be given special training to become LIC agents. LIC will give salary or stipend to trained Bima Sakhi women for the first 3 years. After completing the training, women can work as LIC agents. On graduation, they will get a chance to become a Development Officer in LIC.
PM will also lay the foundation stone of Horticulture University
LIC has launched the Bima Sakhi scheme with the aim of women empowerment. Through this, trained women will work to increase financial literacy and awareness about insurance. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Maharana Pratap Horticulture University here.
An horticulture university is being built in Karnal at a cost of about Rs 700 crore. Let us tell you that this will be the second visit of Prime Minister Modi to Haryana after the formation of the NDA government in October. Earlier, he attended the swearing-in ceremony of Nayab Singh Saini as Chief Minister in Panchkula on October 18.
