Income Tax Return: There is good news for taxpayers. The Income Tax Department has launched a mobile app on Wednesday. In this, taxpayers will be able to see Annual Information Statement and Taxpayer Information Summary.
The new mobile app known as ‘AIS for Taxpayer’ has been provided free of cost by the Income Tax Department. Taxpayers can download it from Google Play and App Store and use it completely free of cost.
The new mobile app will provide taxpayers with more and more information related to AIS and TIS. It will contain information collected from various sources related to the taxpayer. Information will be given in the app, along with taxpayers also have the facility to give feedback.
Other advantages of mobile app
Taxpayers can use the mobile app to view their information related to TDS or TCS, interest, dividend, share transactions, tax payments, income tax refund and other related information.
To use this new ITR mobile app, taxpayers need to register on the app by providing their PAN number, OTP sent to the mobile number and authenticated email registered on the e-filing portal. After authentication, the taxpayer needs to set the last 4 digit PIN to run the mobile app.
