The plan has got this score in the 45 years age group. A grade rating is given only to such plans whose overall score is more than 65 percent. This means that the policyholder can choose the type of hospital as per his choice.

This policy includes Outpatient Department (OPD) cover. Coverage up to Rs 20,000 is available for outpatient expenses. Apart from this, the policyholder gets daily hospital cash up to Rs 5,000. This happens in the Financial Assistance room.

Understand the waiting period before buying

Before purchasing this plan, it is important to keep in mind the waiting period of 3 years for pre-existing diseases and two years for some specific conditions. Specific conditions include Cataract, Sinusitis, PCOS etc. Some specific medical procedures are covered in this plan, for which the sub-limit is fixed. For example, the sub-limit for cataract procedure is up to Rs 40,000. The sub-limit for knee replacement is up to Rs 3 lakh.

Maternity coverage included, but after 24 months

Maternity coverage is included in this plan. This benefit starts available after 24 months of purchasing the policy. Under this, coverage up to Rs 1 lakh is available. This waiting period can create difficulties for those whose child is due to be delivered soon. Before purchasing this policy, the policyholder needs to understand its waiting period and sub-limits.
