How much gold can travelers bring from abroad

According to the rules of the Government of India, citizens who have been living abroad for one year can bring only a maximum of 40 grams of gold. This gold should be in the form of jewelery only. Apart from this, a maximum of 40 grams of gold has been fixed for women, men can bring only a maximum of 20 grams of gold with them. If you have gone abroad only for a few days, then in such circumstances it is better not to bring gold.

What is the rule for alcohol and cigarettes

Many people also buy expensive liquor or cigarettes from abroad and bring them to India. In such a situation, the government has made a limit for these things as well. According to the rules of the Customs Department, a passenger coming from abroad can bring only a maximum of 2 liters of liquor or beer with him. Apart from this, he cannot bring with him more than 100 cigarettes or 25 cigars or 125 grams of tobacco.
