Announcing the government’s new policy on Twitter, Chief Minister Baghel said that the aim of his government is to make women job providers, not job seekers. Baghel tweeted, ‘It is a pleasure to inform that we have launched the ‘State Women Entrepreneurship Policy, 2023-28’. Our aim is that the women of the state should not only be job seekers but also become job providers. Take the state forward with new startups, new business.
Women will be able to get this much loan
A government official said that the new policy introduced by the government aims at rapid development of women groups, entrepreneurs, their business and startups. He said that under this, a provision has been made to give loans up to Rs 50 lakh to the women of the state for setting up manufacturing enterprises, up to Rs 25 lakh for service enterprises and up to Rs 10 lakh for business enterprises.
Economic investment incentives will be provided
The official said that economic investment incentives would also be provided to women for setting up micro, small and medium manufacturing and service enterprises. He informed that the entrepreneurs would be paid net State Goods and Services Tax for six to 16 years from the date of commencement of production in the new unit. Similarly, other facilities given to women entrepreneurs include waiver of electricity duty for six to 12 years from the date of commissioning of the project.
