Dearness Allowance Hike: A new dearness allowance will be added to the salary of the employees. Revised notification of Dearness Allowance (DA) has been issued by the Finance Ministry. This time the dearness allowance has been increased by 4 percent on behalf of the Modi government.
DA increased from 38 to 42 percent
The Finance Ministry has issued an Office Memorandum on Monday to increase the DA Hike by 4%. On March 24, approval was given by the Union Cabinet regarding the dearness allowance of the employees. Along with this, the dearness allowance of the employees has increased from 38 to 42 percent. Now on April 3, its notification has been issued by the Ministry of Finance.
You will also get arrears of three months
After the notification, the central government employees will be paid the increased four percent dearness allowance in the April salary. In the April salary, the new salary will be paid to the employees with arrears of three months. Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) of central employees and pensioners have been implemented from 1 January 2023. About one crore employees and pensioners will be paid arrears from January to March. This will increase the burden of Rs 12,815 crore on the government every year.
Pensioners also got a gift
Lakhs of pensioners have also got the benefit of Dearness Relief (DR Hike) under the Seventh Pay Commission. Along with DA Hike, the cabinet has also increased the Dearness Relief (DR Hike) by 4 percent. Pensioners will be paid dearness relief at the rate of 42%. The arrears of three months will also be paid along with the pension of the pensioners.
