Farmer brothers have been informed that under the scheme, the last date for insurance for Rabi 2023 for all loanee, non-loanee, defaulter and sharecropper farmers is 31 December 2023.
In Sehore district, under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme, farmers are being given the benefit of crop insurance scheme through Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited.
The Agriculture Department said that the farmer brothers have been informed that the last date of insurance for all loanee, non-loanee, defaulter and sharecropper farmers for Rabi 2023 under the scheme is 31 December 2023.
Rates have been fixed according to the premium and sum insured per hectare for the crops which have been notified at the district level. The rate has been fixed at Rs 765 per hectare for irrigated wheat, Rs 540 per hectare for non-irrigated wheat, Rs 514.50 per hectare for gram and Rs 450 per hectare for rye and mustard.
Crop insurance of loanee farmers is compulsorily done by the concerned bank branch and loanee farmers can get their crops insured through Bank, MP Online, Public Service Center (CSC) for crop insurance.
Mandatory documents for getting insurance for farmers are Aadhar Card latest, mobile number, bank passbook in which farmer’s name, account number, IFSC code is clear, Khasra-B-1 latest, certified sowing certificate of crop sown as per Khasra, tenant farmer. It is mandatory to have an affidavit of rent name.
He said that in case of any kind of natural disaster, farmers can give information about the loss directly or through the Rural Agriculture Extension Officer of their area on toll free number 18002337115 within 72 hours. Farmer brothers have been requested to call within 72 hours in case of disaster like heavy rainfall, flood and also record the date of loss and the actual situation of the disaster.
