Best Latest BSNL Recharge Plan! No Recharge for 300 days! 2GB data and free calls per day; cost Rs 2.65, Details here

BSNL’s Rs 797 prepaid plan now comes with a validity of 300 days instead of 365 days. The plan offers 2GB daily data along with unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day for the first 60 days.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has been offering Rs 797 plan to its customers for a long time. But this plan has recently gone through a phase of change. Telecom Talk reported in its report on March 2, 2023 that BSNL has made its four prepaid plans costlier in-directly, as the company reduced the validity of these four plans. There was also a plan of Rs 797 in these plans.

Now this plan comes with a validity of 300 days instead of 365 days. Apart from the reduction in the total validity, the company has not made any changes in the benefits available in the plan. Let’s look at the details of BSNL’s Rs 797 plan and see if it is a good offer for the customers.

BSNL Rs 797 plan details

BSNL’s Rs 797 plan now comes with a total validity of 300 days instead of 365 days. The company has not made any changes in other benefits of the plan. The customers get 2GB daily data along with unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day for the first 60 days as freebies in the plan. For the remaining 240 days, your SIM card will remain active and during this time no freebies will be received from the company.

If you want data or voice calling, you have to recharge with such vouchers. So is this plan a good offer? Well, in a way it is still a good option if you just want to keep the SIM active. This is mostly for those users who have kept their BSNL SIM as second option and have another SIM as primary option.

This plan has definitely become more expensive than the cost of the users. While there has been no change in the price, BSNL has reduced the validity of this plan by 65 days.

BSNL increasing tariff indirectly

BSNL is indirectly increasing the tariff for the customers in India. The state-owned telecom company has reduced the benefits of several plans from its prepaid portfolio while keeping their prices the same.

This can trick many consumers into thinking that they are still paying the same amount for the same services. This is a move that may not bode well for the telco as it has found it difficult to retain customers on its network. Only those people who are satisfied with 2G and 3G network are mostly using the services of BSNL.
