Ayushman Bharat Scheme : If you are a cardholder of Ayushman Bharat Scheme and the hospital is not providing treatment, then do this immediately.

The card holder gets the facility of free treatment in any hospital in India covered under Ayushman Bharat Scheme. If you are an Ayushman Bharat Yojana card holder and the hospital covered under this scheme refuses to treat the patient, then you can file a complaint against the hospital. Toll free number facility is available for this.

Poor families of India get free treatment facilities in good hospitals from the government. This facility of free treatment in good hospitals can be availed under Ayushman Bharat Scheme.

What is Ayushman Bharat Scheme?

According to the official website of Ayushman Bharat Scheme, the government is working with the aim of providing better health services to more than 50 crore Indians under this scheme.

The Government of India launched this scheme in September 2018 for the welfare of the poor. People registered under the scheme get the facility of health insurance up to Rs 5 lakh.

Hospitals cannot refuse to provide free treatment
The card holder gets the facility of free treatment in any hospital in India covered under Ayushman Bharat Scheme .

If you are an Ayushman Bharat Scheme card holder and the hospital covered under this scheme refuses to treat the patient, then you can file a complaint against the hospital. On filing the complaint, appropriate action is taken against the hospital by the government.

When can you not complain?

However, what needs to be understood here is that a complaint can be made only on one condition, that the hospital should have specific treatment for the patient. If the hospital does not have specific treatment facilities for the treatment of the patient, then you cannot lodge a complaint.

  • Ayushman Bharat Scheme card holders can register their complaint on the national toll-free number 14555.
  • Under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, toll-free numbers are available for registering complaints for different states.
  • Toll free number for Uttar Pradesh is 180018004444, 104 for Bihar and toll free number for Uttarakhand is 155368 and 18001805368.
