While booking tickets from the official website of IRCTC or any app, permission is sought from the user for this. Its cost is 49 paise, which is added to the cost of the ticket. On giving your approval on the option of insurance, in case of any accident with the train, in case of death or permanent disability, you get compensation up to Rs 10 lakh. At the same time, in case of partial disability, compensation of Rs 7.5 lakh is available, while in case of hospitalization, free treatment facility of up to Rs 2 lakh is available.

Announcement of compensation from the government

Those who lost their lives in the Coromandel Express train accident will get a compensation of Rs 12 lakh. The Ministry of Railways has given information after this accident that it will give a compensation of 10 lakhs to the relatives of the deceased and a compensation of 2 lakhs will also be given to the dead from PMNRF. The seriously injured will be given a compensation of Rs 2-2 lakh from the Railways. At the same time, an aid amount of Rs 50,000 will be provided to the minorly injured, while all the injured will get an aid amount of Rs 50,000 from PMNRF.
