Petrol Diesel Price Today: The effect of softening of crude prices is visible in many cities today. The retail prices of petrol and diesel issued by the government oil companies have come down in many cities today. The price of Brent crude remains around $75 per barrel.
New Delhi. Government oil companies have released new retail rates of petrol and diesel on Friday morning amidst the ongoing fall in the prices of crude oil in the global market. Even today, changes in oil prices are visible in many cities. However, the retail prices of oil have remained stable in the four metros of the country like Delhi-Mumbai.
According to government oil companies, petrol has become cheaper by 17 paise to reach Rs 96.59 a liter in Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida-Greater Noida), while diesel is being sold here at Rs 89.76 a litre, falling by 17 paise. In Ghaziabad, petrol has become cheaper by 14 paise and is being sold at Rs 96.44 a litre, while diesel is being sold 13 paise cheaper at Rs 89.62 a litre. Petrol became costlier by 27 paise in Patna, the capital of Bihar, which has become Rs 107.74 a litre. Diesel has gone up by 26 paise and is being sold at Rs 94.51 a litre.
Talking about crude oil, its prices are looking stable today. Brent crude is stable at the previous price of $ 74.75 per barrel. WTI price has also marginally fallen from the previous session to $68.35 per barrel.

- Â Petrol Rs 106.03 in Kolkata and diesel Rs 92.76 per liter

- Â Petrol in Noida has become Rs 96.59 and diesel Rs 89.76 per litre.
- Â Petrol in Patna has become Rs 107.74 and diesel Rs 94.51 per liter.

New rates are released every morning at 6 am
Every day at 6 am, there is a change in the prices of petrol and diesel. The new rates are applicable from 6 am onwards. After adding excise duty, dealer commission, VAT and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles from the original price. This is the reason why the prices of petrol and diesel appear so high.
