Government’s wonderful scheme for cattle keepers, animals will get insurance of 40 thousand rupees, this is how to apply

Janadhaar card holder animal keeper who is interested in insuring his livestock will have to get himself registered online on the mobile app MMPBY. The insurance amount will be determined on the basis of the breed, age and milk production capacity of the animal.

Rajasthan government will provide free insurance to 21 lakh animals. This will be under Mukhyamantri Mangala Pashu Bima Yojana (MMPBY). It includes cow, buffalo, goat, sheep and camel. For this, interested livestock farmers can apply online till January 12. This scheme will provide financial security and support to livestock farmers. Tagging of animals is mandatory for insurance.

Maximum two milch animals (cow-buffalo or both), 10 goats, 10 sheep, 1 camel breed animal of the selected livestock farmer will be insured free of cost. This insurance will be for those animals which are not insured under any other scheme. This insurance will be done for one year and the livestock farmer will not have to pay any premium for it.

Maximum will get 40 thousand rupees
Janaadhar card holder livestock farmer who wants to get livestock insured will have to get his online registration done on mobile app MMPBY. The insurance amount will be determined on the basis of the breed, age and milk production capacity of the animal. But in any case the maximum amount of insurance will not exceed Rs 40 thousand.

You can get your online registration done on the portal http://mmpby.rajasthan.gov.in. Also, detailed information about the scheme is also available on the website of Animal Husbandry Department www.animalhusbandry.rajasthan.gov.in or the website of State Insurance and Provident Fund Department www.sipf.rajasthan.gov.in.

Animal insurance will be available within 21 days

According to Dr. Vinay Mohan Khatri, Joint Director of Barmer Animal Husbandry Department, one can apply for Chief Minister Mangala Animal Insurance on mobile app and web portal till January 12, 2025. In this, provision of 16 and 12 percent reservation has also been made for Scheduled Castes and Tribes. The claim amount of the dead insured animal will be paid to the concerned animal keeper by the Insurance Department within 21 days.

Benefit will be given in case of death in these accidents
Under the scheme, insurance claim will be given in case of death due to any natural or accidental accident like fire, road accident, lightning, natural disaster, eating poisonous grass or snake bite, or any disease. For animal insurance, the age of cow should be 3 to 12 years and buffalo should be 4 to 12 years. Similarly, the age of goat and sheep should be 1 to 6 years, while the age of camel should be 2 to 15 years.
