Basic salary may increase

According to media reports, the basic salary of central employees may increase. It is being said that the government can abolish the Pay Commission. In its place, a new formula can be brought, in which the fitment factor of central employees can be changed. If this happens, then the long-standing demand of the central employees will also be fulfilled.

Right now the fitment factor is 2.57 times.

Central employees have been demanding revision in the fitment factor for a long time. Currently the current fitment factor is 2.57 times. The government can review the fitment factor. According to media reports, the fitment factor can be increased to 3, while some are claiming that it can be increased to 3.68 times. On increasing the fitment factor to 3, there will be an increase of about Rs 3000 in the basic pay of the employees.

The minimum salary will be Rs 25,760.

Please tell that according to the recommendation of the Sixth Pay Commission, the fitment ratio was 1.86, but when the Seventh Pay Commission was implemented, it was implemented 2.57 times on all pay bands. At present, according to the fitment factor of 2.57 times, the minimum salary of central employees is Rs 18,000. If the fitment factor is 3.68, then it will increase to Rs 25,760.

Similarly, according to the existing fitment factor, the minimum salary of the 5th level employees is Rs 29,200. If the fitment factor is 3.68, it will be Rs 41,804. That means there will be an increase of Rs 12,604 in his salary.

Earlier, after the DA of central employees was 42 percent, the annual salary of employees with maximum salary of Rs 56,900 was increased by Rs 27,312.
